Part 1: Meet the TA Services Dream Team!

A 7-Part Series for a Look at TA’s Leadership Dream Team

Organizations of all kinds invest in effective leadership as a core component necessary for success. When leaders talk about direction and management, they look for strong leadership, and they rely on it for their strategy and planning. But why is effective leadership important?

In this series we will introduce you to TA Services’ Dream Leadership Team to emphasize why TA Services has installed effective leadership in their organization. We met Scott Schell, President and CEO of TA Services, during our 35th Anniversary Campaign in Q4 2021. He wrote an open letter of gratitude and appreciation that gave us incredible insight into Scott’s leadership style.

“The momentum we’ve built up for over 3 decades helped us get to where we are today. We will continue to grow our services, our teams, and our customer and carrier relationships. We will continue to provide the best service to our customers. We will continue to forge partnerships that endure 35 more years and beyond! I am so blessed and thankful to be a part of the TA Services team,” said Schell. It’s no wonder that he has assembled the Dream Team! So, without further ado… let’s meet them!

As part of the 35th Anniversary campaign and reflection, we also met VP of Marketing & Sales, Brady Thames; TA Services CFO, Charles Dismuke; TA Services VP of Brokerage Operations, Chris Bahr; and VP of Warehouse Operations, David Bowers whom we will gain more insights from in the Dream Team series as well.

In the Dream Team series, Brady will talk about customer relationships and how to build a customer base in 2022, Charles will discuss top technology innovations for logistics providers that will have an impact on 2022, and Chris Bahr will give us insights on how to be a successful full-service logistics provider.

Recently, David Bowers and his team wrote an article called ‘Build Up or Built Out?’. In the Dream Team series we will hear how the TA Services’ warehousing team collaborates to build the smart solutions that David references in ‘Build Up or Build Out.’

In March 2022, you met Andrew Welling, Director of Cross-Border Services, when he was named to Supply and Demand Chain Executive’s 2022 Pros to Know list. We also published a follow up Q&A with Andrew Welling because we wanted to get to know the “Pro” a little better and to learn just what makes him a “Pro to Know.” In the Dream Team series, Andrew will tell us about the best practices to overcome cross-border challenges.
